
Nicolás Francis was born in 1988 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a journalist and graphic designer.
In 2021, he published his first book, The Pale God, which made a strong impact and received highly favorable reviews within the Spanish-speaking horror scene. In 2022, he released Black Metal, his second collection of stories, expanding the dark universe introduced in his debut and offering a distinctive experience for horror and metal readers alike.
In December 2023, Francis published his first novel, October ’94, which became a remarkable phenomenon among horror readers and even faced an attempted censorship campaign, drawing significant attention in the Argentine media. In October 2024, he released Kuronami, the first collection of Japanese horror stories written by an Argentine author, marking a notable milestone within the genre.
In 2025, he founded his independent publishing imprint, Hypnoz Editorial, in Argentina, while his work was featured in major national newspapers such as La Nación and Clarín. That same year, he published his second novel, I Am the Horror (Yo Soy el Terror), a tribute to Peter Steele and 1990s horror.
He is currently expanding his work internationally and exploring opportunities to bring his stories to the screen.
